Nic A. Sommerfeld is a San Francisco based actor and playwright. Their most recent productions were As You Like It at CalShakes (September 2024), Star Trek Live at SF Oasis (August 2024) , and Rossum’s Universal Robots at Cutting Ball Theatre (Sept- Oct 2023). They have also performed with such companies as Marin Theater Company, Berkeley Playhouse, FaultLine Theatre, San Francisco Playhouse, Killing My Lobster, The Thrillpeddlers, and The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival. When not writing or performing, they frequently perform as their drag king persona, Chester Vanderbox. Chester runs a monthly show called Crooners every 4th Sunday of the month in the Blue Room at Stookey’s Club Moderne. They also want to thank their family in Montana, their partner, and their chosen family in SF for all the love and support they give!
