Comedy Night for Immigrant Rights

Join the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA) for an unforgettable evening of laughter and community. IIBA’s 8th Annual Comedy Night for Immigrant Rights features Chris Garcia, Negin Farsad, Beth Stelling, and Sheng Wang.

 

Negin Farsad is a TED Fellow known for her social justice comedy. She's a regular on NPR's Wait "Wait Don't Tell Me" and Neil deGrasse Tyson's "StarTalk". She's the author of "How to Make White People Laugh" and hosts the "Fake the Nation" podcast. Negin has appeared in HBO's "High Maintenance" and Hulu's "Not Okay," and currently stars in HBOMax's "Birdgirl."
Chris Garcia is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer, and host of the critically acclaimed podcast "Scattered," which was named one of the best podcasts of the year by Time Magazine, The Atlantic, and Huffington Post. He is known for his refreshing take on being the first American-born son of Cuban immigrants.
Beth Stelling is a comedian, writer, and actress based in Los Angeles. Her Netflix special If You Didn't Want Me Then has received critical acclaim, and she was also featured on the first season of Netflix's The Standups. She has written for several television series, including Rick and Morty, The Last O.G., and Crashing on HBO.
Sheng Wang is a comedian, actor, and writer originally from Houston, TX. His first Netflix special, "Sweet and Juicy" (produced/directed by Ali Wong) is streaming now. He was a featured stand-up on HBO's "2 Dope Queens" special and also wrote for the ABC show "Fresh Off the Boat."

 


 

GENERAL ADMISSION & PREMIERE TICKETS

General Admission tickets are available for $50 and $75.

Premiere tickets are $200 and include access to a pre-show reception with complimentary food & wine. Reception begins at 5:30pm.

Comedy Night for Immigrant Rights

Comedy Night for Immigrant Rights is IIBA’s biggest annual fundraiser in support of immigrant communities. All event proceeds will go directly towards providing high quality and affordable legal services to immigrant families.

 

 


Ticketing

This event is ticketed by the Presidio Theatre Box Office.
Ticket prices are subject to change. The Presidio Theatre allows returns up to 48 hours in advance of a performance, as long as it is within 30 days of the purchase. Processing fees cannot be refunded. For more information, please see the theatre’s Return Policy.
