Patty Ann Farrell has deeply impacted San Francisco’s performing arts field for over four decades, serving in various roles as production manager, stage manager, and lighting designer for many dance, theatrical works, and special events throughout the Bay Area, New York City, Washington D.C., Tokyo, Hawaii, and up and down the West Coast. Her artistic collaborations and lighting design for thousands of events include the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, the Oakland Ballet, Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, Black Choreographers’ Festival, Patrick Makuakane’s Nā Lei Hulu I Ka Wēkiu, Eiko and Koma, Ballet Afsaneh, Lenora Lee, and many more. Patty Ann has received four prestigious Isadora Duncan Dance Awards and a Bay Area Critics Circle Award for her lighting designs. She is beloved by local artists and has furthered many of their careers through her mentoring work.
