Jeff Gregory
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR (Presidio Theatre)
Jeff Gregory began his professional theatre career at age 10, performing in musicals, television, and later in the Catskill resorts through the age of 18. He is an accomplished bass player, having toured with the Queen Ida Band, and bands which opened for Patti Smith, Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Rankin, and Stephen Stills. He is a deeply respected lighting and sound technician, having worked at the Cowell Theater and Alcazar Theatre as Technical Director, and at Yoshi’s where his sound expertise was appreciated by a list of jazz greats, including Branford Marsalis, McCoy Tyner, Joe Pass, Pharaoh Sanders, Bobby Hutcherson, and many others. He was part of a George Coates performance tour in Japan and was Stage Manager for a television collaboration with Ram Dass, which included musical guests Peter Gabriel, Arlo Guthrie, and Bob Weir. Jeff is also producing and directing a film on the life of Mason Williams.
