Kandace Springs sings Billie Holiday with Orchestra
Kandace Springs has solidified her position as one of the premiere jazz/soul singers of our time and she makes her Presidio Theatre debut to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Springs will perform with a 60-piece Orchestra to present her unique recreation of Lady in Satin, Billie Holiday’s iconic and last album from 1958 giving many of Holiday’s signature songs such as “You’ve Changed” and “For All We Know” a new level of lushness. Described as having “a voice that could melt snow” by her late mentor Prince, Springs has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments, from national TV appearances, headlining major jazz festivals, and collaborations with such luminaries as Christian McBride, Roy Hargrove, David Sanborn and more.
