A Look Back At Our First Year
Highlights from the Presidio’s Theatre’s first year since opening in the Fall of 2019.
30+ Public Performances
The Theatre presented and premiered works by performing art groups of all types with an emphasis on local artists, including ODC/Dance, John Santos, BATS Improv, and World Arts West.
12,000+ Audience Members
Over the course of those 30 public performances as well as private events, the Theatre welcomed over 12,000 audience members in just several months of programming before closing in March.
7,000+ Youth and Teachers
The Children’s Theater Association of San Francisco has a new permanent home at the Presidio Theatre and delighted over 7,000 youth and teachers during school matinee performances of the Wizard of Oz.
Black Lives Matter
The theatre provided its space to Nina Brown and Tony Saunders for the filming of their music video “Black Lives Matter”.
Panto in the Presidio: Aladdin
The Presidio Theatre has assembled an all-star group of performing arts veterans to create a new San Francisco holiday tradition, set to premiere during the 2021 holiday season.
