Peggy Haas brings a lifelong passion for art and theatre to her role as Presidio Theatre Board Chair. As a longtime member of the Children’s Theatre Association San Francisco, Peggy is a performer and avid supporter of artists and artistic institutions. In fact, her role as a performing artist gave Peggy first-hand experience with the challenges of finding affordable and modern spaces for small productions in San Francisco. Her vision for the Presidio Theatre emerged in the quest to find a truly community-based theatre, bringing her to a gem in the Presidio that had been shuttered for more than 20 years. Peggy’s tenacious commitment to breathing new life into the Presidio Theatre, and especially to providing San Francisco, its artists and audiences with a beautifully restored performing arts hub, is the lifeblood of the Theatre’s mission.
