Music of Remembrance: The Dialogue of Memories
The son of an aging Holocaust survivor searches for meaning in his mother’s battle with the ghosts of her past. He finds enlightenment from an unexpected source: Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel. With lyrical beauty and emotional honesty, this pathbreaking new opera illuminates how we can reach understanding across generations and open doors of memory, hope and compassion. Music of Remembrance is a performing arts organization focused on human rights and social justice. Founded in 1998, it has evolved from an initial focus on Holocaust remembrance to honoring the resilience of all people excluded or persecuted for their faith, ethnicity, gender or sexuality.
