Edward Simon Trio with Chris Potter & Del Sol String Quartet
For this exclusive Presidio Theatre performance, Venezuelan pianist and composer Edward Simon will present his inventive trio of bassist Reuben Rogers and drummer Adam Cruz augmented by the Del Sol String Quartet and special guest saxophonist Chris Potter. The group will perform Simon’s latest work Latin Heart that blends the rhythmic vitality,and melodic richness of Latin American music with jazz. The program will include two pieces originally composed for the SFJAZZ Collective in 2024 that were inspired by a triptych of paintings by Rupy C. Tut from the de Young Museum’s collection. Based in the Bay Area and a longtime member of the SFJAZZ Collective, Simon is a Guggenheim Fellow and a current faculty member of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Chris Potter is one of the most influential saxophonists of his generation and a longtime member of the SFJAZZ Collective.

For most performances, the lobby opens one hour before showtime and the auditorium opens 30 minutes before showtime.
Are there concessions?
Yes for most performances we offer snacks, soft drinks, beer, and wine. Please note beverages are allowed in the auditorium, but food is only allowed in the lobby.
